Mark Van Bommel is suspended so we might see a decent game
Thiago Silva is out injured.

Milan have been giving Zlatan the big build up.

“Messi is a step ahead of everybody else, then there is Ibra and, third, Cristiano Ronaldo,”
trumpeted Milan keeper, Christian Abbiati, after watching Ibrahimovic score his 26th and 27th goals of the season to steer Milan from one-nil down to a second-half victory over Roma, which keeps the Italian champions four points clear at the top of Serie A.

Milan met Barce in the group stages so this game could be very boring or very exciting.

Barce don't have a left back so expect Puyol to play there.

Milan have quite a few players out and Nesta Clarence and Prince have only just come back from injury.
Robinho and Maxi Lopez face late fitness tests.

Coach Massimiliano Allegri
We are ready for this challenge. It'll be a very difficult quarter-final against the best team in the UEFA Champions League; we have to play a great game.

The two previous matches against Barcelona were very different. The first one [2-2 at the Camp Nou] was more defensive; the last one [3-2 to Barcelona at San Siro] was more open, with a lot of chances for both teams. Playing like we did in that second game, we took more risks and made some mistakes in defence that you cannot afford against a team like Barcelona. We just have to avoid that.

It's a very interesting match and we don't need extra motivation. Our team are ready to face up to a similar contest. [Lionel] Messi is the focus of a team that play great football. "We have to pay attention and perform well in defence, but adopt an attacking approach and play with courage". If we want to get through we have to score.

There is no such thing as a perfect result. This game is the most important; we cannot go wrong as then qualification could be achieved in the second leg.

Coach Josep Guardiola
Milan will be going for the win but we'll fight for a positive result. If you play against Milan and you're not focused, you can't win. It will be very important to score; that is one of our main aims. Milan are a great club with a rich tradition. It's a big privilege to play here: we have to be courageous, defend but also know when to attack.

We are committed to playing our own unique style, but know there will be phases of the game when we suffer. "We are two strong teams but only one can get through – the side with greater mental fortitude". The [group] game here was especially fun for the fans. AC Milan played to win and finish top of the group.

During his time in Barcelona, Ibrahimović had a remarkable year helping the side in the Champions League and league. He performed well for all his teams. He's always been crucial. For us, Messi is ready, he's fit; he knows this is an important period of the season. We'll try to create the best condition for him to express his talent and ability.

Fancy a Barce win but Milan will score.

Not even in his own dreams is that swedish meatball better than Ronaldo

im really looking foward to this game tonight. I think it will be pretty tight but Silva being out is a massive blow :( He is probably the only one they have at the back that can keep up with Messi when he gets going. I think it will be either 2-1 Barca or 1-1. I hope AC take a narrow lead back to Barca to make it interesting

as for the other game im going for a 1-1 draw

Abate at right back is as big a miss as Thiago if not greater

Think with the back 4 Milan will put out, Barca will win 3-1 comfortably

Bonera v Messi is the culinary equivalent of crouchy having free access to Burger King for 90mins. Was hoping Mesbah lb and Antonini rb :(

Here's hoping for a 90min masterclass from the great one and some form of competency from the french one

Milan wont have the ball to get opportunities. They will get overrun in midfield and the weak defence will be exposed. Then the Brittish/Irish pundits and media will blame Zlatan.

Could be a good one. Messi is lethal for Barcelona, and as they did in the group stages, Milan's defence will find it hard to stop him up front. And Sanchez and Fabregas will be a handful on the front wings, I'm looking forward to seeing how Antonini copes; it won't be easy for him. Barcelona's formation is going to cause AC Milan problem's, I think that the defenders will just have there work cut out dealing with one of their front 3, let alone all of them! So, having gone through that, my prediction is 3-1 to Barcelona.
PM me what you want me to put on my blog!!!!!
