Who has less of a clue, Hodgson or Dalglish?
At least Hodgson had an idea. It was quite clearly the WRONG idea but at least he had one. Dalglish just throws 11 of his favourites onto the pitch and waits for something to happen.
Seen an interesting point earlier. Dalglish manages like he has the best team in the league, the players are given a lot of freedom. Worked brilliantly with intelligent players last season, but the signings in the summer have been braindead and shite. And Kenny doesn't have the know how to get them to play to a game plan.
Apart from the gay boy in your avatar who last season? I think it was more down to individuals like Johnson. Suarez was another, an unknown in his first season and defences couldn't cope with him (and he also played further forward). Seems to me the only difference is they masked your goalscoring problems. Maxi and Meireles compared to Downing and Henderson.

Maxi and Meireles compared to Downing and Henderson. He is the one who chose to get rid of Meireles though, and not to play Maxi... Don't see how the arguement holds much water.

Maxi and Meireles compared to Downing and Henderson. But they just highlight more individual performance. Attack minded players getting the goals you're missing this season. Downing is not the same quality and Henderson needs time, but the main point is, it would be unfair to expect them to come in and replace what they did. That's little to do with intelligence tbf.

Sorry, wasn't arguing in his favour Maybe an explanation though as to why a man with his CV seems clueless now. Oh I know that. Just if that theory was true, and he likes players like Maxi/Meireles etc as you pointed out. Then why not play them? His transfers are also completley different players. Surely if that theory was true he'd have bought more intelligent footballers?

Downing is not the same quality and Henderson needs time, but the main point is, it would be unfair to expect them to come in and replace what they did. I don't think it is, they cost £36m and they were brought in as first team players.
The reason we worked so well last year is because the whole team was moving and passing effectively which was making the team much stronger than it should have been. Don't believe it was individuals at all. Spearing under Kenny last year was very verry good for example.
