Lambert was the highest scoring englishman in the league last year wasn't he? surely that deserves a call up!
Don't get how Lambert gets called up for scoring goals yet Holt got over looked the season before :S
His all round game is a mile better.

England drop to 17th in the FIFA rankings. I would say that's a fair reflection of where the team should currently sit. Normally, those rankings show us as much better than we actually prove to be.
Trying to get an accurate picture of reality, even when that's unpleasant or inconvenient!

And 3rd only a year ago, but that was really my point. Who would have seriously suggested that we've been in the top 10 countries in the world over the last 5 years or so? The rankings are normally a shocking reflection of reality, but on this occasion, I would suggest that 17th is a fairly good reflection of how England have been performing over the last few years.

Oracle of Truth.
17th is not where you belong, somewhere btw 25 and 30 would be an actual reflection

Seems Roy has pulled off his expectation lowering. With the national pool England have they should be top 10, very easily.

Hodgson on Ashley Young omission: "I don't like to use the word 'dropped'. He just fell outside the 23, I guess ..."

Hodgson re Hart:

"It will take a lot more than a bad game for any player before I start suggesting he should be replaced."

"I have no doubt Joe will come through this and put one bad game behind him."

Poor Roy, in so much denial
