good match fitness for rooney IMO
fork that goblin.

Just before the season starts we don't want any injuries and England V Scotland could easily kick off. With it being a friendly it's even more pointless, the timing is absurd.
i get your point but  wellbeck and cleverley wouldnt exactly be a big loss.

Welbeck

Gerrard's delivery in this half has been stunning.
Any other Liverpool fan going to tell us how wonderfully, stunning and Xavi like Gerrard is in this game?? :)

We've currently not got any better options, I'm also not just talking about England I mean these friendlies 3/4 days before the season kick off are daft.

Lampard hasn't got the legs to play this deep. He can barely move, needs to just be put up the field to make a nuisance of himself and take a few pot shots.

not really a freindly against scotland though.
Makes his point even more solid.
i was being sarcastic
Yeah I know, but it still proves the point that they're more likely to pick up an injury..
TBF that could happen on sunday or any other game.
i understand were your coming from but it could also be a benefit if they dont get injured.

So you need better legs to play deeper than you do further upfield? :S (And no, by better I do not mean more Rihanna like)

I wouldn't expect the Frankmeister to be too fit at the moment, as he's had an achilles injury for much of the pre season.

In that deeper role he needs to chase down the opposition and get tackles in. If he's playing further forward he can just amble around looking for space at his own speed, he doesn't have to chase a quicker player.
