Heard a few musings on this one over some either forums so wonders what our irish contingent thought? Could a unified Ireland football team be a worthwhile course? I would have thought making the best of both teams could see them potentially progress further Let's not forget that the Irish rugby teams are unified so surely it's workable or are the divisions through football too much to broach? Granted I couldn't tell you who from who would work but don't you think it might end up a bit stronger at least? |

Outside of Aaron HUghes I can't see anyone that would offer anything tbh. Why should we unify when any NI youngster that is half decent wants to play for ROI anyway? |

Can't be unified because of the politics & religious aspect of club football in the North and I think they deserve their right to have their own football team really. It's different in rugby because it's not played by and supported by scumbags |

I think thats a fairly strong team put together from both options (strong as in sense of compared to either side alone) |
