I don't get the whole going over and applauding the fans business.

If we lost like that (and we lost 6-2 in Melbourne when I went on an away trip 3 seasons back) the last thing I want to do is applaud or be applauded by the players.

The whole point is for them to recognise the support they were given. even after conceding 6 the fans still cheered for them.
Thing is though it seems to be a fairly modern invention. I don't remember it 15-20 years ago

He's right about City being beatable. Every team is beatable. A team that can concede three is beatable but what Wenger fails to understand is that to beat a tough team like that you kinda have to defend. You have to play better. You need eleven men rather than 9 or 10.
