I'll have a chat with you Frank :D

I thought Luiz was quality in CM. Been saying for ages that he needs to be played there permanently. Do you think Jose will now deploy him there on a regular basis or do you think it was a one off to help combat our (usually) high intensity midfield?

You know what frank, fork off, if your just gonna be a twat then I'll leave you too it, have a nice life :)
Oh dear, now who's having a tantrum? You lot don't like getting some given back, do you?? Don't worry though Jimster, you'll get a few more likes from the posse! :) I will indeed enjoy my life, thank you. I have a feeling that 2014 is going to be a great year for me.

Getting it back to topic though, how good were Chelsea yesterday? Apart from our win at Schalke, I think that was our best performance of the season. We still have to sort out our defence from set pieces, but suffice to say, I thoroughly enjoyed that game. :)

not a penalty

at most, an indirect freekick for obstruction.

tbh, it is just a coming together and once again suarez throws himself to the ground

He lifts his leg to make sure he takes him, its deliberate. Saurez has a rep now and the way he goes down is what doesnt get him anything tbh

Hello Papa, I hope you had a merry Christmas.

I agree (I think we all do), playing someone in deep MF who was fluid, quick and can play the ball was probably what made us look so different yesterday. He completely unlocked the potential from our attacking 3 midfielders.

The Spoofer has looked a class above over the last month or so, but without a ball player behind him, he has to come too deep to find the ball.

Sadly, Jose didn't give any indication that he would use Luiz in midfield regularly. He's suspended for the Southampton game and so Ramires will return after his "rest".

I think that City will win the league, but with Luiz in MF, I think we could run them close. I don't expect to see it too often though. :(

It should have been a penalty, which is utterly stupid from Eto'o, because we had won the ball back and there was no immediate threat.

I have no problem accepting that Eto'o rode his luck on two occasions during the match, but it doesn't disguise the fact that the better team won the game.

Last two games have shown how much we miss another goal getter. Think if Studge was fit we'd have scored those chances v City and pushed Chelsea a bit more.

Don't worry Jimmy, no offence was intended or taken - I just had around 3 weeks of Frank versus Liverpool to catch up on! :thumb:

It should have been a penalty, but yet again Suarez doesn't help himself by throwing himself into the air like he's been shot. Just fall naturally ffs.

But it was never a sending off in the second minute of a game. Of course you can argue that it shouldn't matter when in a game an incident happens, but you and I both know that it very often does matter. He should have been given a yellow card, but it wasn't a sending off offence given the timing of the incident.

I don't think anyone disagrees that the best team overall won the game. It's just the nature of the defeat from our perspective that rankles. Especially straight after the harsh result against City.

Taking 6 points from our last 4 fixtures is a pretty good result though. We'd have hoped for a draw against Spurs, City and Chelsea and a win against Cardiff. Just a shame that with the way the results panned out it meant that City and Chelsea stole a march on us :(
