I'm expressing a difference in mindset Goonie. The woe is me, we deserved to win bcos of x, y, z mentality. I see them all as the same thing.

Anyway, going for my late night run...speak to u in a bit

GOAT.
Okay say you go out on away goals because of an incorrectly given penalty a few minutes from time. Don't tell me you'd start looking at why you weren't good enough rather than saying what a Frank the ref was.

Mate I just quotes one such example where that was virtually the case with Porto. I honestly wouldnt Goonie and I'm not disagreeing for the sake of it. You wont ever see a matchday thread where I've blaned the result on a poor ref decision. Doesnt mean I dont remember them btw so I can still quote those decisions

Frank, a red card and pen or concede a goal

You got the better end of the deal

The ref missed a blatant red card and a pen for us, had he done his job correct, who knows what would have Happened, but we know for sure playing against ten men would have helped us big time to get s result

We have every right and are correctly annoyed at a ref affecting two games in a row with incorrect decisions against us

Stud first on the knee cap area is a red card, end of.

LFC is just bitter because once again, Oscar proved how much of a better player he is over Coutinho

While Coutinho is sat watching the World Cup at home, Oscar will be playing a big part with Brazil in hosting the Cup
Way things are going, Lucas will be lucky to get any games. Who needs Lucas when you have a better player in Ramires anyway?

You got the better end of the deal
If you've read the thread LFC, you will know that I have agreed that the second Suarez incident was a penalty and that Eto'o was fortunate. I have not denied that at any time throughout this debate.

However, I think that Hazard could just have easily had a penalty as I explained that even if a player is cute enough to invite the foul and the defender subsequently obliges, it's still a foul.

We could argue all day about what might have happened if Eto'o wasn't on the pitch, or if either or both penalties were given, but it would all be subjective guesswork. We don't know, just as you don't know what would have happened if Sterling wasn't incorrectly flagged as offside. He still would have had a 5hit load of work to do to score, so again, you can only guess how that might have affected the game.

What we do know, is that the best team won yesterday. Decisions come and go and I've given you two examples above that went against us and cost us points and potentially even a CL final in the past.
Trying to get an accurate picture of reality, even when that's unpleasant or inconvenient!

Some Liverpool fans just find it hard to accept that a team with apparently no history have over taken them with their glorious history. Also makes it worse that their manager is Mourinhos bitch

Not really bcos we still had 90 minutes to win the game. Shouldnt depend on one instance. The scholes goal eould have only got us extra time bcos the scores in both ties would have been the same. Who's to say we would have won or lost.

Another example was going out pompey in the FA cup in a potential 2008 treble when ronaldo wasnt given a pen and few minutes later pompey were. Or in the 2007 final when Giggs was brought down by Carvalho for what should have been a pen and sending off. Just annoying instances but not an excuse for why we lost and I'm annoyed at my team moreso.
