Ramires has started to look good again over the last few games. He's been terrible for most of this season, but now looks as though he's getting back to his previous form. That said, he's not a DM, so even with him improving, and Oscar and Hazard in particular looking really rather special, we still need that DM position improved. Mikel can do a job against the weaker teams, but he's not good enough to be our first choice.

Yeah they'll defo get a cm instead of a striker this window. What dot saying is correct, Jose turned Madrid into a great counter attacking team and can do the same at Chelsea if he can strengthen the cm.

Oscar has always been better than Coutinho, no doubt about it. Maybe Oscar was inconsistent at times last season, but playing in Europe for the first time at the age of 20 is a huge step to take. Add to that he played 64 games and scored 12 goals

Coutinho is a great little player, but i'm not sure he if he has the ability to go to the very top. Oscar has everything in his game and has already taken Mata's place in the team

Say what you want about International appearances but Brazil are one of the best International teams in world football. There's a reason why one has 28 caps and will be one of the first names on the team sheet in Brazil and the other only has 1 cap and is unlikely to be going to the World Cup

He hasn't. He may be more talented and have more potential but based on what they did last season, Coutinho was miles ahead of Oscar.

You've been told before about the nonsense of international caps. Anderson has 8 to Willian's 4.

GOAT.
I agree that Oscar has been better but seriously stop mentioning international caps. It's absolutely irrelevant.

It's slightly unfair comparing the two on last season due to the fact it was Oscars first season in Europe while Coutinho came from Italy in January. Also it didn't help when Benitez started playing Oscar on the wing, which is where he was inconsistent

And Anderson was never considered first team from Brazil, he only really got called up to the Olympics and that's about it. Oscar got called up to the team and stayed there, becoming a key figure along with Neymar in attack

Your right, International caps can occasionally be a bad thing to measure a players abilty. But Oscar has proved being good enough for Brazil, he's not just getting caps here and there, he's one of their best players

The problem is, although he might be pretty good, from what I've read he's not a DM either.

You are making so many excuses and none of them matter. Last season, in the premier league, Coutinho outperformed Oscar. That is all.

Oscar has been lightyears ahead of Coutinho this season though.

Box to box, similar to Toure

Could do a job in DM

If we want to be the best team in Europe, we should be looking for more than "can do a job" though, don't you think? Ramires is a box to box CM, so is Lampard (although obviously he's in his later years). We need someone who is comfortable in breaking up play and putting a foot in, but is also capable of springing the counter.

Chalobah maybe in a year or two, but we don't know if he'll make it to the very top yet.
