Quite a flattering score in the end, but just glad to get through in the end.

Over both legs Blackburn did themselves credit.

Next up Cardiff in the League.
Yeah. I think 3-1 would probably have been fairer, but then again 5-0 is better than some Premiership teams! Our two goal-getters were on the bench (Rhodes and Gestede) and starting with Campbell alone upfront probably cost us a fighting chance.

Eastwood was the icing on the cake. The second half showed the difference between a below average goalkeeper and a top class goalkeeper. Robinson conceded 1 goal and bossed the defence well and was pretty assured for almost all of the first half. Eastwood never had control and never got near a ball, his positioning is off a lot of the time too.

Considering our entire squad cost about £6m we put up a good fight really. Did City even have one player who cost less than that? :fishing:

Where has this Dzeko myth come from? Last season he saved City on numerous occasions and this season he score the winner against Palace and they played forking well and the winner against Newcastle at the weekend.
Viva loves a good myth and likes to constantly post the same stuff about them every game....haven't you noticed ;)

Ie, Rooney
 what's been wrong about what I've posted in this thread? What about Papa?
Whats wrong with what I've said?

You DO repeat it almost every game ;)
Now there's a myth. If you can show me saying this about Dzeko in 3 other city threads then I'll concede.

http://thefootballnet.co.uk/topic/7658340/?author=4012697

It would be difficult to get more accurate than those posts
Sorry mate but I have Zero interest in spending whats left of my night trawling threads trying to prove you wrong

...But you have definately called Dzeko average and a flat track bully before.

You'll just have to trust me ;)
Ok so how about from now on if you're going to throw some shite around at least make sure you can back it up (or be arsed to, whatever excuse you want to use) :thumb:

And I do think he's a flat track bully. I don't post it in every thread though. That is a myth.
Ok mate  I'll just have to ignore my work, kids and missus and spend all night worrying you think I'm wrong

I was pulling your leg and dont really care if you rate Dzeko or not, or Rooney either tbh. There are lots of players I dont rate, just opinions at the end of the day :monty:

(not sure what the Monty smiley means but dont think I've ever used it before)

Will be keeping Cech in my pocket for the next 3 months. Thanks Pedro :thumb:

i wish the commentators would stop mentioning the word quadruple, never going to happen. most prob be out of europe in the next round. i know i have mentioned it in the past but it is firmly tongue in cheek. i would be more than happy with one trophy, any trophy :thumb:

Not moaning, more observing  It is what it is. I was just commending our lads on doing a good job when you look at the value of the teams they put out!

Much of Walker's money was invested in training and youth facilities, and that's the best money he spent imo. Hopefully your Sheikh is doing the same so that if/when harder times come by, you've got some talent coming through the system to keep you going - we'd be forked without our academy right now
