There is no way the Glazers are going to let him survive until the end of the season at this rate. I'm still don't want him fired mid season, despite the fact that I was disappointed by his appointment (either they go for stability and keep all the backroom staff or they take the gamble and go for an all out change with someone else, not this) and United are doing so poorly. But I just can't see how he is going to last. No sign of improved results at all.

It's a catch 22, give him the funds to improve the team and he doesn't get top 4, means money wasted and players unsuitable for another manager, or wait and see and he doesn't get top 4 in which case he may have, had he been given the funds.

I really don't want him sacked tbh. He is the manager and holds ultimate responsibility, but it's also the players fault and the lack of quality in the squad in certain areas.
I think he deserves another 5.5 years lads, dont be so rash

Isn't he the 4th or 5th highest paid manager in Europe on over 7m a season? Would that mean a payoff of over 38m to get shot of him?

The pressure on him to succeed now is absolutely shocking but I think United pulling the trigger now is unlikely.
Lets not forget this is a club and set of fans that has prided themselves on sticking by their man...... but just shows how much easier this is when your man is successful!!!

Will be keeping Cech in my pocket for the next 3 months. Thanks Pedro :thumb:

Ahhh maybe you're right? Can't remember where I read it tbh but remember being surprised it was so high to start with.

Still, a 20m odd payoff wont give him too many sleepless nights I bet. Just shows once you sign a big contract in football the rest doesn't really matter.
Moyes can do shite, get a 20m payoff and be at the helm of another club in 6 months on another fat contract. Shocking.

Does Docherty really belong in that company trebs?

at £4m per it would be cheaper sacking moyes than buying fellaini

As in the managers you had BEFORE Fergies 26 year reign ;)
Back then you lot didn't ram the stability = success thing down everyones throats. Everyone knows that to be true but you also need a good mamager in the first place.

My mate is a season ticket holder at OT and for years he bragged about how many of Citys managers Fergie 'seen off'. Looking forward to you guys joining the sack club :)

So let me get this right, he takes over from the club's most successful manager to date, almost gets the club relegated, then does get the club relegated.... and YOU are saying he didn't underachieve. If you had been around back then you would have been calling for his head inside a week :moon:

That was like a year, doesn't count. Best left under Docherty so that's all that matters :p
