Worst thing to happen actually, this will just make United more determined to sign Mata.
That's what I just thought, also would've been funnier to see City rip them apart with the whole country watching :(

Yeah, we should put another £2m on the price after tonight's game! :D
Trying to get an accurate picture of reality, even when that's unpleasant or inconvenient!

Moyes is the best thing to happen this season.Endless supply of jokes :liverpool:

Such a legend
Signing of the season so far for me :thumb:
Being a City fan you must be forking loving this!
I've had worse years tbh mate

I actually wanted an all Manchester final even though United would no doubt have played much better.

Still, I'm not too upset about tonights result tho tbf

Will be keeping Cech in my pocket for the next 3 months. Thanks Pedro :thumb:

Tbh Mata wont make much of a difference to this Utd team. They have some serious issues that need sorting out and AM isn't one of them

Fully think this is Moyes death rattle. This will be the match you can point to when Utd decided he's not the right fit.

 You keep telling yourself that. Mata is an assist machine. When van P and Rooney are back, Moyes will enjoy himself.

Nope. I think this is the match that will give the board pause over their choice of manager. 6 months into a job, he has had the full backing of the highers and rightfully so...

But if you can't even motivate the players for a semi final, let alone a SF that they're trailing in well then doubts will start to creep in.

It really does depend on where we go from here. You could very well be right if we stumble on like we have. But if we get ourselves into top 4 I think it will be forgotten.

Agree though, the lack of motivation was terrible tonight. But I have to counter that still with the sheer lack of quality in our team. It is ridiculous that nobody even talks about how s**t some of our players are atm.

Something like this? http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2014/jan/20/manchester-united-player-ratings-david-moyes-premier-league

The players have been woeful but there's a serious attitude issue in the squad, be it lack of belief, lack of passion/desire or just plain lack of giving a s**t, and that can only come from one person: the manager.

It looked that over both legs tbf.

Januzaj is the type of player at Utd that 4-5 years ago, would get brief cameo appearances, one for next year or the season after.

Its unfair on him for Utd to be so dependent on him to provide a spark going forward, the rest look mediocre.

It's a bit of both imo. Imagine Fergie was under the same circumstances in terms of squad and injuries. I think he would have won some of the matches we've lost but then also lost enough for us to be having a bad season.

And even then, you're talking the Fergie factor. If you look at anyone else. apart from the fork up in the summer, I really don't think anyone would have had us doing considerably better than we are now with the likes of Fletcher, Evra, Young, Valencia, Cleverly, Giggs for players to rely on.
