As usual with Brendan, he passes the test with flying colours.

Glad he hooked Sturridge too; no one expecys him not to be a greedy. Hell the team even wanted him to do it. Giving him a peno and Coutinho passing to him over Suarez.

Lmao saddest interview from 4-0 winners ever

Was supposed to add that it was the row that got him hooked not the greedyness

Btw Dotty I remember you saying we should judge Martinezs defence when Distan is out. Did it look familiar tonight?

Yah, looked like a typical Martinez defense

Alcaraz is awful on so many levels, should've gone down with Wigan. I know Stones? is young so he can sort of be excused, but he looked like he didn't know when to go forward or stay back. He just kept bombing on, see Stud's 1st as an example.

Everton won't have a season as good as this under Martinez again, as he'll have got his claws into the squad good and proper. His teams are jsut far too naive to compete at this level.

Also look at the gap between CBs at times, it's like a airport landing strip. Distin keeps things nice and compact with his leadership, without him they're left with Jagielka, the other CB and 1 of Barry/McCarthy defending about 2/3rds of the pitch. So easy to counter against, as we saw. Villa and Chelsea will love playing them.

Rodgers tonight: "We will hopefully do something over the next few days. Hopefully we will have a major new signing."

Rodgers: Still hopeful of transfer before Friday but only if deal is right. Reports today of my 'anger' at the club are way off the mark
