Want to know why the fork Toure was even given the ball in that situation. Was a suicidal decision to even pass it to him. Obviously he still had time to give it back to the keeper and chose the wrong option but there was no way to pass that out from the back with how high WBA were pressing at that moment in time.

That forker Mignolet does it all the time. He's a disaster when it comes to distribution. Insanely bad decision making.

Read we've conceded 29 goals/goal attempts from mistakes or something like that

Aye his distribution is a disgrace. I have no faith in him doing anything right, even his throws out to the fullbacks tend to put them under pressure. His telegraphed goalkicks out to the fullbacks are a joke too. Firstly they very rarely actually go in the right direction or right height to even give them a chance to get a head to it and secondly they are so obviously coming that you could stick 4 men to mark the poor fullback and still know that the ball is about to be delivered there

Reina used to get those kicks spot on every time. Reina to Johnson was a great outlet as he's usually head it in field to the AM or CM as the ball was planted perfectly on his head every single time with little telegraphing.

So do we expect mig to improve or do we go for another keeper in the summer?

When's sakho and agger back?
2-3 weeks for Sakho

Not sure on Agger. But it's definitely Toure starting against Arsenal

Got to give Mig time to improve his kicking. No point spending money on a position we have only just filled

If he is that bad we could always go back to using Lardy Reina again next season :p Don't expect any clean sheets though!

For all Mig's deficiencies he's still an improvement on Reina.

He just has to learn that he can't play fooball.

Do we expect reina to be on our books next season?
I personally don't see mig getting any better but I can always hope. Why we opted for him over bergovic I don't bloody know

On a brighter note, cissokho had a decent game (by his usual standards)
And Raheem is a delight to watch running at defenders :D

mig can get better, definately, he's only 25 and with our coaching team he can certainly get better, he has some excellent points and he's just under more scrutiny now than at his previous club. Let's also not forget the tosh of a defence he has in front of him at times, most of our keepers have at least had a fixed set of centre backs in front of them for long periods, mig doesn't know from game to game who he is going to have to deal with.

I personally don't see him being much of an improvement on reina.
He appears to be playing to reinas level in his last 2 seasons. Prior reina was seen as one of the very best, I don't see migs attributes ever putting him in that bracket.

Fair point Jim on the defence he has to play with at times, scares the crap outta me just watching in tv, imagine how he feels standing behind them every match

If can just improve on his distribution then we have a very good keeper but at the moment it sucks balls

It no surprise that Reina's form took more of a dive when his centre backs started to get chopped and changed, for most of his time with us he generally knew he had carra there and then one of skrtel or agger, just the three to choose from. Dudek had Hyypia and Henchoz then hyypia and carra.

Mig has kolo, skrtel, sakho, agger and others in the centre back alone, then his full backs change by the week and change bloody side!
