Fork me what a day. Win my round of golf this morning then get in the car to go home and it's half time and 3-2

Get home just as the second half kicks off, get my clubs out to give them a clean and by the time I sit down to turn this on it's forking 3-3! Only saw the second half but even seeing us then and not conceding we look an absolute mess at the back. Skrtel is a complete liability. Just got to be thankful that we have such a great attacking team atm who can get us out of trouble.

Delighted for Hendo to bag the winner. Really good pro

Haven't seen any of the incidents or goals other than the winner so can't comment on any controversy if there was any

If we get a real dm in and sort out the defence we will be alright

Agger toure and skrtel will need to go if we end up nicking 4th

Gerrard in dm and any if those at cb would be hilarious in the cl
imo we dont need a dm, just a proper box to box cm

plenty of teams play with a very creative player infront of the back 4 who are not the best defensive wise, gerrard is decent at it at best but he brings so much with his passing, two of the goals he started off

we almost have the right balance, I still think our cbs need sorting first, then someone who is quick on the ground but also gives that little bit forward is what we need in there

for example, today, skirtel cost us 2 of the goals, whilst 1 was a screamer, a better cb and it would have been an easy win

A box to box CM, a CB and a fullback (preferably LB) and we have the makings of an excellent side.

Would be nice to have someone to really push Sterling for a place too.

the problem is changing too much but with how bad our defence is, we need a clear out big time, hopeflyl it will not have a huge affect on our fluency

bring back llori

buy a 2 cbs, one for the future and one solid one now

sell turtle and agger

bring in a solid rb and lb

get rid of johnson and cissoko

a box to box cm is a must, if we get the cl, we need a couple of wingers as well imo

A new GK who can kick as well as save wouldn't go amiss either

So basically a whole new side bar Gerrard, Coutinho, Suarez and Sturridge. Oh and Flannolahm

It's nowhere near as bad as that tbf. A lot of what we need is quality squad depth either by adding great first team players to put some of our current players on the bench or some really good squad players to give the current group a fight for their place.

We just need a less injury prone defence with new full backs

Plus i thought Illori was one for the future.

If Allen can start putting in that sort of effort and quality on a consistent basis then we have a pretty decent selection of midfielders now. Only Gerrard is absolutely top class though and he's not got long left. If a good CM is available then we need to be all over it, especially if Utd are interested

Allen - 18/19 passes (95%), 2/2 dribbles, 5/6 tackles, 7 ball recoveries, 1 interception.

Proper mugged off Monty

Gotta tie up the Kono deal early. Adds competition to Coutinho and Sterling's spots.

Definitely need a proper DM in the long run.

Even more impressive Monu:

We have more points after 27 games than in any other season since the 1987/88 season. In fact, aside from that season we have more points after 27 games than in any season since the introduction of 3 points per game in 1981.

It would be far too boring winning every game 5-0 B)

Defending is for the weak. That's why Jose loves it so much.

I want us to show that bit more calmness at times, but I thought our nervousness defensively caused that. You have to have that solidity and I thought we were nervy from behind today, and that then didn't give us confidence.

"It's certainly something we need to be much better at. We haven't seen that for a while now, but we'll improve on it and work on it during the week."

"I'm not overly happy with our defending today, to be honest. It's not coaching; some of the things that we have conceded goals in, you can't coach that.

There's a feeling when you're in the game of how to defend. You have to use that experience to be able to defend properly. I've always said that since I've been here. Today we had moments in the game that we weren't so good at.
