This seasons first trophy and sadly I am really excited.....and it's a bit of a ridiculed cup  .....we better forking show up for this!!! <_<

Last time City won the League cup was 1976. Sunderland have never won the cup but were losing finalists in 1985 to Norwich (1-0).

We have a shocking record against Sunderland and despite some bookies predicting a goal fest in our favour I'm really expecting few goals and quite an even game. Sunderland have nothing to lose so I think they'll go all guns blazing for the win.

City team news,

Jovetic & Nastasic are injured so will miss out.

Team will be 11 from, (probably players in bold)

Pantilimon, Hart, Zabaleta, Richards, Kompany, Demichelis, Lescott, Boyata, Kolarov, Clichy, Milner, Navas, Silva, Nasri, Toure, Fernandinho, Garcia, Rodwell, Aguero, Negredo, Dzeko, Lopes.

Sunderland team news,

Liam Bridcutt (cup tied), Connor Wickham (on loan), Keiren Westwood (shoulder) all miss out.

Team will be 11 from, (probably players in bold (not sure between Borini & Fletcher?))

Mannone, Ustari, Celustka, Alonso, Bardsley, O'Shea, Vergini, Cuellar, Roberge, Cattermole, Gardner, Ki, Giaccherini, Johnson, Colback, , Larsson, Ba, Mavrias, Altidore, Borini, Scocco, Fletcher.

Hope it's a good final and obviously for a City win :champion:
Will be keeping Cech in my pocket for the next 3 months. Thanks Pedro :thumb:

Brown in place of Vergini, Borini in place of Fletcher, possibly Giaccherini on the bench in favour of Borini at left midfield and Fletcher or Altidore upfront.

Forgot about Brown tbh. Probably thought he was banned or injured.

I'd be surprised if you played Altidore. If you are the genuine underdog like the bookies say then playing with 10 men wont help matters. Can't see you setting up 2 up front either tbh?
I'm expecting Poyet to set up 4-5-1 and hit us on the break all game.

Would love to see Sunderland win it, but they won't. They'll get reamed like Bradford did last year.

Johnson could get a lot of chances to run one on one with the FB with Silva that side
