The lack of flair is awful. Surely they've a better striker than Fred somewhere

Tbh that is a very balanced team and Fred isn't a bad striker in all honestly, 17 goals in 33 appearances is a good record and his hold up play allows the likes of Neymar, Hulk and Oscar to play off him

What happened re Costa and Brazil Paddy? Did they not really want him or did he turn them down?

Yeah I think this is a very good group Cech. Mexico are a very decent side as well will be a good battle for the second spot between those two.

Costa

"I hope people understand and respect my decision because it has been very difficult," he said. "It was very difficult to choose between the country where you were born and the country that has given you everything.

"I looked at everything and saw that it was right and best to play for Spain because this is where I have done everything. All that I have in my life was given to me by this country.

"I have a special affection. Here I feel very appreciated for all that I do and I feel the love of the people."

Don't know tbh. As far as I know from reading things on forums, Brazil never gave him an opportunity, and then only tried to call him up after Spain approached him

The stadium has never been tested near capacity and has not been investigated by Health & Safety Regulators. A British Health & Safety representative deemed the venue unfit to hold an event of this magnitude.

Just to put it in perspective: there's a monorail that was mostly completed 2 days ago that's deemed fit to operate.

7 years is barely any time to get all these projects up to code. Can't see why there isn't a basic infrastructure requirement for these things.

Mandzukic is suspended tonight I think. Going with the draw @ 4/1
