Seems like a simple result coming up here, easy Dutch win. I saw more last Saturday morning than I was expecting, there's still some fight left in this team, though of course anything other than a win sees us the first team eliminated from another World Cup. Franjic and Milligan are both out with hamstring injuries, Franjic will likely be replaced by Ryan McGowan, though now it seems like a daft decision to leave out Luke Wilkshere. Milligan has a few candidates for the job, most likely will be James Holland if Postecoglou goes like for like. We've never lost to the Dutch (1 win, 2 draws) but never played them in a genuine competitive international. Expecting, if the Dutch are switched on and aren't taking this as a warm up match, that we'll get reamed. Our only chance will be for Holland to be dreaming about hoisting the trophy and we can catch them cold and defend for our lives. Unlikely, but it could happen. |
