He's not wrong, old Trafford whilst quite often full if day trippers was generally buzzing on European nights.
Yea but it's a lie to say that there were plenty in the ground at 7.15 prior to European games. Maybe in the 90s there were but in the last ten years it hasn't been like that

I've not been in a few years myself, so tough to say.

However the atmosphere was always electric, when we beat Madrid 4-3, that was quite possibly the best atmosphere I've ever had at OT.

The atmosphere was disgraceful tonight, I honestly can't see why we don't get accused of having plastic fans more than United or Chelsea get accused, At least those two sets of fans can get up for the European nights. The only two fixtures our lot can provide a remote atmosphere for is United and Chelsea at home, We have FAR too many family seats available, How is a father with 3 kids going to provide a rawkus atmosphere??? The only part of the ground that actually sings is the one right next to the away end, The club has got to look into what's happening and in my opinion it's the increase in family seating and more corporate hospitality areas, Those bums miss the first 10 minutes of the 2nd half and cannot provide an atmosphere anyway. Those empty seats tend to be t-wats going for some extra pies or chips, It's gotten past the point where you can blame the players or the manager, It's the club as a whole who don't know how to differentiate their emotions between a big Premier League game and a CL game.
we let to many kids in

great point of view

stop the future generations

he is wrong about the singing as well, there is a singing section next to the away fans in the south stand which sing every now (the one i think he is on about) and then and there is a section 102 (?) - 106 ish maybe in the east stand that sing.

the atmosphere has always been poor at COMS, even before the forced relocation of the north stand season holders, in fact the atmosphere got slightly better because they used this as an opportunity to start the singing section. the hospitality is usually the boxes, so these have never created an atmosphere, so that point is moot. he said he wants rawkus fans, but the fans who are rawkus are the "t-wats" leaving 10 to 5 minutes before the end of the half and arriving back late. what does he want? you want a drink at football, then you have got to leave early, if you dont you cant get back for the start. i would love to know the guys views on going for a p***. " hold it in til half time"

tbh, he sounds like a father of 3 who is pretty peeved that he is stuck in the family stand and cant shout or have a drink.

poor fella

the only way to fill the ground is to make the tickets cheaper :thumb:

post that to him or tell him to post on here

i dont think any ground in the country is packed half an hour before kick off

why are they packed in turkey?

is the ticket just for entrance then you can sit where you want?

I think it's to do with having to buy your ticket in advance nowadays.

In the good 'ole days when you could rock up at the turnstiles and pay 'on the door', you would quite often have a full stadium a good half hour before kick off. You had to go early to ensure that you got in and got a decent place on the terrace.

There's no need to rush now, you know you'll get in and you know exactly where you'll be sitting.
Trying to get an accurate picture of reality, even when that's unpleasant or inconvenient!
