Well if you guys are getting there, the manager will surely be. He just can't come right out and say it.

"They both arrived at 23 and Danny Welbeck has got going a lot quicker than Thierry Henry did. Whether he goes on to emulate what Thierry did is another matter.

You're quite sad.
I'm just finding it hilarious how people are trying to compare Welbeck to one of the greatest strikers of the last 20 years....
You're finding it hilarious because you have no idea on the points people are making.

Rodgers on Balotelli: "He worked hard, (but) needs to do more. He will be judged on what he creates and what he scores and he didn't score."

Is that exasperation creeping in already?
There's always some creeping about when it comes to Rodgers tbf

He scares me. I would cross the street and walk towards a shifty looking youth with a knife and a twitch just to avoid Brendan Rodgers.

Mario Balotelli ignored Brendan Rodgers' request to applaud fans after the game before heading directly down the tunnel

Poor transfer dealings from the club again this summer. I raised my doubts about ballo as he simply doesn't fit the style we play. Yet the club had been working on the deal 3 months prior to completion and even then didn't get another striker sorted, and we kept borini instead 😳. I would also have started lallana ahead of marko (who also currently appears underwhelming but is young so can be afforded time. Still think we could benefit by dropping gerrard and have 3 men with lots of energy and movement there which will really help our pressing game and tempo. Oh and suso can be afforded an opportunity can't he?

Aye, because Henry was the best striker the league has ever seen a month after signing for Arsenal. Welbeck has 8 years to catch up.
Welbeck has been playing in England his whole career and is almost 24. I think it's safe to say he won't be reaching any sort of level Henry did
Bale was playing LB, was cursed with not even winning a game when he played and nearly shipped out to Birmingham for £3m.

Few years later and he's playing for Real Madrid and is one of the best players in the world right now..

How sad, I should be rubbing his nose in how much of a disaster Balotelli has been for Arsenal. Instead he's playing for my club. There's no justice in the world
