4 points from Arsenal, Chelsea, and City has more or less made up for their bad start now

Well we deserved that. We beat ourselves. How can a team have so many shots on target and lose to a team who has one? We were so wasteful in the first half and the defending from us was absolute shambolic. Wenger is over tbh, doesn't have a clue. His team is tactically clueless and lacks the discipline to beat any of the big teams.

Giroud looked good though, and not just because he scored. Hopefully we don't stick with Welbeck. Oxocube

A good win for them and they're now in the top 4, but they were pretty pants today.

You have to fancy Arsenal and Manyoo for third and fourth (in whatever order) but that match just goes to show that someone else could easily squeeze in because both teams were pants, albeit for different reasons.

Looking at Arsenal, United and Liverpool I don't see any reason why Saints can't finish top 4 tbh. All three teams may be suffering with pretty bad injuries but I reckon Saints could be well ahead by the time that changes.

You have to assume Saints will drop more points in the next 11 games than they have in the last, but given the form of Manyoo, Arsenal and Liverpool, they can afford to and still stay up there.

It would be great to see the Saints in a CL spot!

Still think it will be the two on display today though, with Liverpool not too far behind. A bit predictable.

I hate the 3412 that united play, it's pretty much 7 behind the ball and 3 up top. So negative

Liverpool are out of it. The next few Southampton games will definitely tell us more about them. I don't think their defensive record is sustainable, do they have the firepower and depth to cope when they do start conceding?
