Hard to be upset. Our season ended when Sturridge got injured. If he played today we win, even if Utd scored another couple tbh. We sliced them open so many times.

De Gea is amazing but he wasn't too special today, the Balotelli cut back was the only save that showcased his ability

Buy Valdes and a proper striker in January and sort this forking mess out
Sterling had an off day in front of goal tbh, you lot could have beaten United with the team you had out. Shooting anywhere but straight at De Gea would have been a good start.

I am impressed with United, as much as it pains me to say. To pick up these wins without their first choice players is an achievement, no matter how unconvincing they've looked.

Sterling often has an off day in front of goal. His finishing in general has always been pretty poor. His best asset is making the run in behind and squaring across for a teammate or being the catalyst in a fast break. You can see why Rodgers when with the decision to start with him up front as nearly all of our chances were due to a through ball and runner - something that Mario and Lambert are not going to offer enough of. But there's not an awful lot of point in creating those chances if the person they are being created for is not a good finisher

It's embarrassing how badly we miss one player in Sturridge. This has possibly been one of the worst transfer windows in the history of the club :(

If that's true after the money that was spent in the summer, someone needs a slap.
Thats kind. They need their dicks hacked off with a rusty spoon

Well, makes the starting 11 even more bizzarro. Whatever Moreno is supposed to offer, he should have been yanked off far earlier than he was. Sterling was just begging for someone to pass to in the first half.

Can't believe no one at Liverpool saw this coming once Suarez was sold tbh. Balotelli is unpredictable, Lambert old and Sturridge injury prone. He's not back for next week, is he?

Sturridge won't be fit until February at the earliest.

You think Sturridge would have been worth 6 goals

If he's taking those chances I don't see why not. Maybe he'd miss the Sterling header. The rest are standard finishes I'd expect any good striker to score

Who's to say all those chances would've been given to Sturridge though?

Well if the only reason to expect him to miss is that there were so many chances, it's not really a point to consider.

Really shows how far we've come though. Everyone who started was here under moyes, none of our 6 Summer signings started the game. And to think some clowns on here were thought LVG was no better only a few months ago

They wouldn't have been. Butterfly effect and all that.

The point I'm making is why sit here and lose our minds and call for this that and the other? Pretty obvious what the difference was today (and all season), good goalkeeping and clinical finishing. We don't need to sack the manager to fix that.
