Stuck up bastard
Leaving out Fellaini is criminal, considering how pivotal he's been for you.

I think I'd have Carrick over Gerrard at this stage as well. He's on a serious decline. The amount of stick he's been getting over Liverpool fans as well this season wanting him to be dropped etc.

I find it truely bizarre you're even asking that. Sturridge has been a machine since moving to Liverpool almost two years ago. What have those two crocks done in those two years?

Gerrard is still the best midfielder from the two clubs, easily.

It's always Gerrard's fault, even when he was in his prime. It's like Kev with Sterling, some serious weirdness in our fanbase.

Gerrard hasn't declined from last season btw, the problem is he isn't feeding Suarez and Sturridge, but Lambert and Balotelli

Really?

I kinda think he has. I don't think who he's feeding has got too much to do with it. If he was running games in the middle of the park, but play was breaking down only when he 'fed' Lambert and Balotelli, you might have a point. But that hasn't really been your problem. Your strikers have been 5hite, but so has pretty much everyone else - including Gerrard in my opinion.

The reason he gets singled out more than the rest is because of the levels he's previously played at. Not because there's a vendetta against him.

Why was he singled out at his peak then?

Sturridge has indeed been awesome for a couple of years, but Falcao has been awesome for four or five!

Both seem to be crocked all the time nowadays, but if you look at both when fully fit and in their pomp, you can't look beyond Falcao as the better player. That's not a slight on Sturridge, it's just that Falcao has been pretty much the best striker in the world (excluding the two untouchables) for quite a few years.

That said, this calendar year has been a Weston for him and he may very well be finished at the very top (top) level.

I'm not aware that he ever was? He's been your club's talisman for a decade, so when it's going good, he's the poster boy. When it's going bad, he's the fall guy.

That's just how it is when you have one person who symbolises the club in the way that he has at Liverpool.

Sturridge 0.70 goals per game at Liverpool
RVP 0.5 goals per game in last 2 years
Falcao 0.4 goals per game in last 2 years

Sturridge is the only one not to take penalties as well. Sturridge is the best striker between the two clubs

Do you seriously believe that a fully fit and on form Sturridge is better than a fully fit and on form Falcao?
