Arsenal travel to Anfield on Sunday and I'm surprised no Pool fans have made a thread for this blockbuster yet! Some bad memories at this ground spring to mind, so really hoping not to add to those [Koscielny EPL debut red card, 5-1 last season which was so bad I spent the 2nd half in a strip joint ]my personal ideal starting XI: Wojciech Debuchy Koscielny Mertesacker Gibbs Flamini Oxlade-Chamberlain Cazorla Podolski Giroud Alexis |

I'm not, they're probably predicting getting arseholed. Pity Amar isn't making it, quiet fella nowadays. Think arsenal should be comfortable, Sanchez should have a field day! |

I'd have to do some research into it but I highly doubt this game was broadcast in Australia or received any media attention whatsoever. It was only early-2000s that the EPL began to see significant growth in this country for people other than the English that had come over here

No chance Podolski is starting, it will be Welbeck out left in a 4-2-3-1 with Giroud up top |

I was at my football club's (played in Central Midlands Premier Division) end of season do so cannot remember whether it was on TV, but we certainly knew the score as it was happening and we all simply couldn't believe it. Still Liverpool were firmly on their perch back then so most of us found it highly amusing that they lost the league at home, losing to Arsenal when a draw was all they needed. A very good night for Arsenal fans and Nick Hornby's inspiration for Fever Pitch. a very good read btw. |

I was hoping their defensive would be a mess, nearly full strength ![]() We really should be starting Mignolet too. Markovic LWB means we need Sakho to be really on it considering Arsenal's right flank. The guy has barely played this season though. I'm expecting Sanchez to be getting into shooting positions very often today. Which should mean goals with Jones playing ![]() Hopefully we can control the game as their CM area looks weak |

Although saying that it's probably in Arsenal's interest for us to control the game and get high up the pitch. We'll inevitably leave our CBs 3v3 with Arsenal's front 3 |
