Great performance on Monday, absolutely no need to change anything but as expected Rodgers just had to shoehorn Gerrard in somewhere, hendo forced out back to the right completely takes him out of the game. How many times do we need to see Gerrard and Lucas tplY together it doesn't fucccccking work !!!!
that game had absolutely nothing to do with gerrard, our cm is poor defensive wise regardless, who else would you play in cm?

allen and henderson have been trash this season, we just lack quality to kill games

we had 3 cbs yet they cannot close down a shot

That was pathetic.
We somehow end up with an outside chance of top four again then we go and drop a 2 goal lead to a team that will be relegated. forking awful
Not just drop a lead but very much outplayed. Usual liverpool performance, turn up for 20 minutes then proceed to s**t themselves

Even with Borini coming on, if he had just left Sterling up top and put Borini as a straight swap for Lalalalala it wouldn't have been quite so bad, but to do both was madness.

There were questionable decisions in the starting lineup with Manquillo getting dropped again for no reason but it was the subs that killed us. It seems a bit baffling to use a formation that relies quite heavily on the 2 AMs being good on the ball and to then not have a sub on the bench who can replace one like for like.

i hope rodgers finally realises we need to replace our midfield, living in a dream world if he thinks any of our cm will be any good, we need to ship out a couple and bring in some quality to control games and defend

I just watched that second Leicester goal again. The midfield is too hesitant and Can was terrified of blocking the shot. All of our midfielders are pussies.

Brother mentioned at the time that Skrtel probably blocks it if he's playing

Skrtel has a nasty habit of turning 180 when blocking. He makes himself a much slimmer target. Needs to learn the Terry technique of trying to block it like a goalkeeper.

Didn't see the game but I'm putting all the blame on Rodgers and Gerrard regardless
Hendo as wb doesn't work! Why drop manquillo again. Gerrard should be used sparingly now, like when we're 3-0 up he can come on

Frank puts City 3-2 up! :(

Stop it Frank. Just stop it.
Really starting to p*** me off. Will always be a Chelsea legend but his legacy has been tarnished a bit
Has it feck! He's a legend as Chelsea and always will be. He's a professional and he's doing what he does best.
Tarnished probably wasn't the right word, he will always be a Chelsea legend no matter what happens and will always be welcome at SB with open arms

It's just a shame that he's ended up at our main title rivals, scoring the goals to keep them in the race at the end of his career. That's the point I was trying to make
Yeah it is a shame he's had to go out like that. Whose fault is it?
Gone out like what? He was 36 and out of contract.

To be fair to City, they do seem to be getting the best out of him and it's a shame that he has to play for any other English club, let alone our biggest rivals. It would be interesting to know how much City pay him and how much it would have taken him to stay at Chelsea. He didn't really fit into our system very well last year, so I can see why we were willing to let him go. No matter how painful it is now!
Trying to get an accurate picture of reality, even when that's unpleasant or inconvenient!

Really don't see why everyone is talking about Gerrard today. He was fine. It was the Borini sub that killed us. And then Toure's lack of composure booting it out of play after the first, instead of controlling the ball to deflate them after the goal

its the scapegoat mentality, he is still our best cm, so sad that he is but it is the case, the other 3 are trash, regardless our cm would be average, we may as well play gerrard as his deliveries get us goals, we would have been 3rd last season without them

They said on Danish TV that Balotelli made a huge scene in the sponsor lounge when told he was not in the team and went straight to the phone and called his agent. It was Jan Mølby who said it.
