No! He mentioned both incidents and said both should have resulted in a penalty.

Hmm maybe it's one of those weird rules. Like the pulling shirts outside the box, it's a foul and freekick, but if you don't let go before the penalty area then it's a penalty. Sterling was running onto a through ball in the box and Courtois gets it by sliding and grabbing it, but that takes him out of the box. Does it count as stopping a goal scoring chance or something?

Maybe that was what he was thinking, although in that instance, there is no way it could have been described as a clear goal scoring opportunity due to it being at the side of the area.

It's no biggy, just slightly amusing. He also called the Costa handball a clear penalty which is what you'd expect from the manager of the team who didn't get the decision their way, but as we've already discussed, it would have been pretty harsh.

Didn't lee grant get done for similar against Chelsea just recently? Can't recall where around the box it happened or was it a free kick given?

the penalty should have been given for the way costa went down grabbing his face trying to win a freekick.

cheaters need to be punished and punished hard

Bit of added tension for the 2nd leg after it emerged Jordan Henderson & Diego Costa had a tunnel bust up after last night's 1-1 draw.

Apparently Henderson offered out Costa down the tunnel and said "don't be a coward, stand up like a man". Costa went for him but was pulled back by the Chelsea players. Both Costa & Hendo got dragged into their changing rooms and Hendo said "I'll see you next week".

Henderson you are much too pretty to be fighting Costa

Hendo is such a plank, always thinking he's some sort of hard man in the team

It's probably his idea of leadership.

They act all tough in the tunnel, but the next time someone looks at them the wrong way on the pitch, they'll fall over in agony.

Pussies!
