Sturridge needs games. No surprise at all to see him starting. And a home FA Cup tie a glorified friendly? |

Yes it is, there is next to no benefit of us winning this He does need games but he is very very injury prone If he gets injured our very slim hopes of top 4 are completely gone. The manager ( who will be sacked if we aren't back n the cl next season) is playing our most important player in a match that doesn't matter. It's by far our least important game for the rest of the season |

I don't agree with either point Crouchy. With the amount of big teams knocked out in the last round, Liverpool will be one of the favourites for this trophy and should be going for it. On your second point, if one of your best players is fit, you cannot fail to play him on the strength that he has a poor injury record. Otherwise, what's the point of having him. if a player's got a niggle, then yes, rest him. But if he's fit and just needs to improve his match sharpness, he has to play. |

One of the favourites yes, but what's the point in winning it ? Serious question btw get next to no money for it and it doesn't get us in the cl. If you find yourself in the semi or the final then give it a better go but until the your main players should be anywhere near this.Because you don't throw away top players it's simple. We have had to manage players fitness over the years and keep them for the important games as have other teams. Players like Ledley King, Agger etc. there is no logical reason for Sturridge to be playing today Edited by BALLBAG, Feb 14 2015, 06:02 PM.

I'm not sure that you 'find yourself in the semi or the final' if you don't play your decent players! It's a sad day when a fan asks the question: 'What is the point of winning the FA Cup!" |
