Excellent performance Arsenal

There were so many highlights, from the consistent failure to complete a pass to your lack of ability with the ball. That thing other players do, like keeping the ball close to their feet so they can do something productive with it, like score goals and outwit the opposition, should never be welcome at a top level football game when confusion and profligacy are alternative options.

I especially liked the way you reminisced about this season's defeat against Man United by repeating exactly the same errors. Watching Mertesacker struggle to understand what his position was and therefore failing to remain in it was pleasurable enough but the sight of you all chasing helplessly after the Monaco players as they scampered merrily towards your goal again and again was a joy to behold. The way you then kept the suspense high with inexplicable passes around your own box had me on the edge of my seat.

But my favourite part - my absolute favourite - was when, having managed to salvage just a little something from a game in which you actually deserved the square root of f**k all, you managed to effectively erase it in the LAST MINUTE OF THE GAME.

Awesome.

Didn't see any of this but Ozil and Welbeck getting a lot of stick on other forums.

Surely Monaco can't fork this up after scoring 3 away goals.

Ozil was our best player, he worked harder than anyone in our team.

Mertesacker should be dropped, cost us 2 goals the absolute chicken.

When Ozil is considered to be the most hardworking player in your team you know you have serious problems

Arsenal growing in confidence now. Monaco still look pretty solid defensively though.
