He's a striker, play him as a striker or put him on the bench. Not difficult. Don't blame him for telling Woy that he only wants to play up top, he's hardly going to shine out wide and it will just do damage to his current reputation.

If a player is playing well in one position for his club, why in gods name would an international coach pick that player and play in him in a completely different position? It's seems logical to any normal person but to national team coaches/managers it seems to most complex thing in football.

Great to see Dier get a call up, been superb this season. Would be a great player to have at the tournament, so versatile and conditioned.

Jamie Carragher has backed Dele Alli to force his way into the England starting XI for Euro 2016 if he can continue his current form.

He has to start.

Henderson and Alli are going to be the new Lampard and Gerrard

Would want a dedicated holder in there as both love their runs forward. But that leaves trouble trying to fit Sterling, Barkley, Rooney, Kane, and Sturridge in. Especially with them all wanting to play central. Maybe something like

Hart
Clyne Stones ? Shaw
Dier
Henderson Alli
Sterling
Sturridge Kane

Do players like Drinkwater and Albrighton make it into contention?

Roy Hodgson has offered up the intriguing possibility of Marcus Rashford forcing his way into the England squad for the summer’s European Championship after revealing he has tracked the Manchester United teenager’s progress for two years through the national junior ranks.

:liverpool: :liverpool:

Guaranteed Hodgson had no idea who this lad was until last week.

Almost as crazy as saying that Wilshere will go if he gets a few matches b4 the season finishes.
An England squad with Shaw, Baines, Jones, Wishere, Delph, Sturridge & Rooney all having injury issues sounds awesome to me. I give Roy my full backing!

He's played 86 minutes for England youth teams in years :liverpool:

Especially when our striking options are fairly strong for once
