So Teresa May has called for a snap General Election on 8th June, after ruling one out in March.

Quite clever and tactically really considering she has no opposition.

Will be interesting to see how UKIP get on after the whole Brexit decision :S

Could also be good for Labour. If Corbyn gets annihilated then he can no longer harp on about not been giving a chance in the general election etc... and the rebuilding can start with a fresh face

If Corbyn goes I think we'll see a lot more people coming back to Labour, people with no confidence in him are either voting elsewhere or not at all

This will just confirm that the Lib Dems are the real opposition tbf, and a tiny one at that.

This could be a ploy to also kill an independence vote in Scotland, if the SNP don't get an overwhelming majority it'll show the nation isn't on board.

Yeah, the timely release of Scotland being in recession will put a lot of doubt in people's minds. Still think it'll be like 98% SNP though.

I didn't see this coming!
Trying to get an accurate picture of reality, even when that's unpleasant or inconvenient!

Funny how it's destabilising to have an independence referendum in 18 months time yet it's not to call a snap general election in 2 months

Quick easy win and puts the "you weren't voted in" argument to bed I guess

It's not destabilising if the result suits.

Doesn't change the fact it's hypocritical.
Yes we can pretty much guarantee that the result will suit, BUT if the result isn't as clear cut as is suggested it then becomes another distraction.

Who will everyone be voting for? Or are we waiting for official manifestos to be released?

SNP
In all honesty there is little choice in Scotland, Labour are finished, Tories are cnuts and lib dems are irrelevant.
